International Program

The School of Future Technology has been making solid progress in building international cooperation resources, establishing exchange and collaboration partnerships with world-renowned universities such as RWTH Aachen University, Georgia Institute of Technology, and Lund University. Focusing on the distinctive characteristics of the Future Robotics program, the School has been expanding its international program resources. On one hand, it organizes student exchange programs to institutions such as the University of Cambridge, RWTH Aachen University, and Georgia Institute of Technology, broadening students' global perspectives. On the other hand, it actively invites distinguished international faculty to offer cutting-edge courses, ensuring that 100% of students have international learning and exchange experiences.

In February 2025, the School of Future Technology at Southeast University selected and sponsored 27 undergraduate students from the Future Robotics program (Class of 2023) to participate in a three-month "full-cohort" international exchange program at RWTH Aachen University in Germany. The program covered courses including Unified Robotics I, Robot Intelligence, Principles of Automatic Control, Robot Dynamics, and Introduction to Information Communication Networks.

In January 2026, the School of Future Technology invited experts from Lund University in Sweden to visit and offer a specialized course on the Juliet Language and Robot Simulation for 16 students. The course focused on the robotics-specific language Juliet, systematically covering grammar fundamentals, robot kinematics, and simulation applications. Through tasks such as car obstacle avoidance and robotic arm writing, students mastered key technical concepts including coordinate transformation and parameter planning, completing a full training cycle from theoretical learning to simulation practice. This "bringing in" international course deeply integrated the top-tier robotics teaching philosophy from Northern Europe with the experimental resources of Southeast University, allowing students to engage with international academic frontiers without leaving campus.

From January 25 to February 7, 2026, the School of Future Technology organized a two-week winter school program at RWTH Aachen University in Germany, themed "Robotics and Innovation for Future Industries." Centered on robotics, this exchange program covered multiple research perspectives including the structural principles of industrial robots, kinematic analysis, and intelligent control. Under the guidance of professors from institutions such as the IGMR (Institute of Mechanism Theory, Machine Dynamics and Robotics) at RWTH Aachen University, students delved into cutting-edge topics such as force control algorithms for collaborative robots, SLAM technology for mobile robots, and redundancy design in robotics. They systematically mastered core concepts such as DH parameter modeling, degree-of-freedom calculation, and trajectory planning, establishing a comprehensive professional knowledge framework in robotics.
